Welcome

Welcome to MOF Taiwan 2026

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to MOF Taiwan 2026, hosted at National Central University, Taiwan.

Under the theme “Designing Smart MOFs for Smarter Applications,” MOF Taiwan 2026 brings together leading scientists, emerging researchers, and students from Taiwan and around the world to share recent advances and new perspectives in metal–organic framework science.

Over the past decades, MOFs have evolved from an emerging class of porous crystalline materials into a remarkably diverse and interdisciplinary research platform spanning chemistry, materials science, energy, environmental science, catalysis, biotechnology, and biomedicine. As the field continues to advance, our focus is expanding beyond the discovery of new structures toward a deeper understanding of their formation, properties, functions, and integration into increasingly complex chemical and biological systems.

MOF Taiwan 2026 provides a forum to exchange these ideas, discuss emerging scientific challenges, and explore new opportunities for collaboration. We are especially honored to welcome Professor Susumu Kitagawa, whose pioneering contributions have profoundly shaped the development of porous coordination chemistry and the MOF field.

Beyond the scientific program, we hope this conference will provide opportunities to reconnect with longtime colleagues, establish new friendships and collaborations, and inspire the next generation of MOF researchers. We particularly encourage our young scientists and students to actively participate, exchange ideas, and engage with researchers from across the international community.

I sincerely thank all invited speakers, participants, sponsors, supporting organizations, organizing committee members, and student volunteers whose contributions have made this conference possible.
We look forward to welcoming you to National Central University and sharing an exciting and memorable MOF Taiwan 2026 with you.

Welcome to Taiwan, and welcome to MOF Taiwan 2026!
